So here is where this new blog starts, the day i get a job offer to head to Darwin in the Northern Territory, a population of over 110,000 which is nice, it was named for Charles Darwin, he was the ape guy..doesn't matter, he would have never survived with the eyebrows and sideburns he was sporting back in the day .anyways it is also the traditional home of the Larrakia Aborigines, and is a major base for the Australian defence force. So to the job offer, i was asked to do breakfast on a great radio station in the city called HOT100. But the really cool thing is that one of my favorite radio people and good mate of mine DJ Sammy will be coming
to, and even better we arrive on the same flight. I currently have a segment on the local ABC on the Sunshine Coast in QLD, but i will get to continue doing that via satellite from the Darwin ABC centre which will be great. Darwin i am sure will be fun, i am told it is a city of piss heads, so maybe a challenge later on down the track to beer bong an NT stubbie...there like 2.3 litres...oh god.... This will be a big move for me, and i don't mean the distance, i am talking about the price to freight my car $1457.00 i was gonna drive but if you ever heard of Peter Falconio i am sure you would understand my hesitation to do so.
